When I think of Kristen Wiig’s character in “Girl Most Likely,” here’s the first thing that comes to mind:
That poor girl was named IMOGENE.
On top of being almost doomed for life, she was dumped AND fired from her job in the very same week. The struggle was all too real. Some may call this a stroke of bad luck, but what we’re really talking about here is a classic case of, growing pains.
Through the ups and downs she prevails the test of hope and ultimately proves that things don’t always go as planned, but they DO always work out. And once you get past the hiccups of this thing called life, things can be nothing short of everything you’ve ever dreamed of. Well, sort of.
DANCE LIKE NOBODY’S WATCHING
Get out there and make a damn fool of yourself every once in a while. Because why the hell not?
IF YOU DO SOMETHING YOU’RE GOING TO REGRET IN THE MORNING, SLEEP LATE.
LIFE IS MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU DGAF
Quite possibly the golden rule to live by can be summed up in four little letters: DGAF. Seriously though. When you learn to let the little things go and free yourself of worry, everything just seems to work out. And if it doesn’t, well DGAF.
TAKE A SHOT. YOU JUST MIGHT SURPRISE YOURSELF
Whether it be a tequila shot or a stab at something new in life, take the damn shot. Put yourself out there and see where it takes you. Nothing can be learned from sitting back and playing it safe. You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain. What if it doesn’t work out? Ah, but what if it does.
WHEN IN DOUBT, SQUAT.
WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES, ANOTHER ONE OPENS.
Rejection comes in all forms. It might seem like the end of the world when you don’t get the job, the guy or the dream apartment. Never underestimate the power of timing and perspective. In the end it all works out. The way it’s supposed to. Here’s a piece of no fail advice that works for almost any scenario: If you’re pounding on the door and no one is answering, try a different door.
BACKSTREET BOYS ARE STILL THE GREATEST BOY BAND THAT EVER LIVED.
What were we talking about again?
