Last week our fitfluencer, Alexandra Catalano, took over our Instagram stories to share her highly-coveted and yummy “Energy Bites” recipe with us. You can check out her feature in our IG highlights section. One of the best things about this protein ball recipe is that it only takes 5 minutes to make. And while you’re at it, try your hand at making these energizing protein bites.
2 tablespoons of raw unsweetened cacao powder
1 1/2 cup coconut shreds
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 scoop of Primal Kitchen Collagen Protein Powder
2 TBSP unsweetened coconut milk
1/4 cup + 1 TBSP coconut oil, melted first then measured
3/4 cup coconut butter, melted first then measured
Add all of your ingredients to a food processor. Melt your coconut butter and coconut oil. To melt, leave it in the sun for a few hours or place on top of a warm oven. Process ingredients in a food processor for 1 minute. You may need to stop every now and then to scrape down ingredients. Roll into small balls and place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and allow 5 minutes to soften before eating!
