Summer is almost here, which means vegetable season will be in full swing.
I was craving hummus and buffalo wing sauce and decided to make both! Luckily, I had a can of chickpeas on hand because I completely forgot to add them to my buffalo chickpea salad I made the other day.
I threw together the ingredients and made spicy buffalo hummus. It actually turned out better than I thought!
1 can chickpeas (mostly drained)
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
3 Tablespoons buffalo sauce (I use Wegmans brand)
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 squirt of lemon juice
salt and pepper
I just threw everything in my food processor and blended it up! Top with some extra buffalo sauce, or maybe even a little ranch or bleu cheese dressing. This hummus might also be delicious in a wrap with a bunch of veggies or some shredded chicken, a little something extra on a buffalo chicken wrap.
Enjoy with tortilla chips, celery or any other veggies! I love bringing hummus and other dips to cookouts or camping trips. They only take about 4 minutes to make and you can just scoop them into a tupperware, grab some veggies and you’re good to go!
