The Benefits Of Drinking A Morning Lemon Elixir

By Amanda Sewell February 9, 2016

Ever wonder why your body won’t release the last 10 lbs, no matter what you try? Always feeling tired, experiencing colds and bloating? Toxic burden could be your culprit. It’s pretty gross to think that we could be storing all sorts of chemicals in our phlegm and fat. If your body is severely overwhelmed it can lead to major illness.

Our bodies are constantly burdened by the world around us. Whether it’s the lotion we put on our skin to the exhaust in the air as you walk down the street. Even the food we eat can be covered in chemicals. Thankfully, our body has naturally built in methods of handling the exposure. To protect us from the toxins our bodies respond by producing mucous or fat to prevent an immune response. In the case of fat production, it is used as a safer storage system.

You can help boost your health by starting your morning with this drink. It will increase the necessary enzymes and stimulate digestion. Your liver will begin to flush away the fat that was storing the toxins.

1 cup room temperature water
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon raw apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon raw honey OR a couple drops of stevia
1/2 inch of fresh ginger root or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
This recipe is meant to empower you in your first step of using whole foods to heal your body.

* Drink this first thing in the morning before food or coffee.
* If you experience chest tightness or anxiety after drinking this, cut out the apple cider vinegar. This reaction can occur from the body’s releasing of bacteria and unwanted toxins. Continue to drink the lemon elixir, omitting the acv, for at least three days, and then try to re-introduce or use only ½ teaspoon of the apple cider vinegar. If the reactions continue upon reintroduction, continue to only drink the lemon water.
* If you are wondering, “is this right for me?” Please consult your doctor prior trying this out.
